ATOM Winch - 250kg safe working load
Our electric ATOM 250 is the smallest and most cost-effective unit in our range. With a compact body and low profile it can be fitted into the tightest of spaces.
This mobility aid couldn't be simpler to use, it takes away any stress or strain of loading a wheelchair and occupant into a wheelchair adapted or converted vehicle. It is powered to pull effortlessly up the ramp and into the vehicle, so you don't have to push. Equally it makes the process of exiting the vehicle and back down the ramp, worry-free, controlled and safe.
As with all our winches, it comes with a range of clever features and benefits which respect and protect the comfort of the wheelchair occupant at all times. The wireless remote controls supplied with the kit are uncomplicated and very easy to use.
ATOM Winch - quick release bracket
All our ATOM winches have been updated and now come as standard with our quick-release mounting plate. This video demonstrates how this clever mechanism puts an end to the time and trouble it takes removing & re-fitting, without the need for any tools. Simply unplug the wiring from the unit, unscrew and remove the moulded cover, then slide the device away from the mounting plate.
The base plate also gives you the option of allowing the winch to pivot and follow the line of the wheelchair. This ensures the belt feeds onto the reel centrally and correctly. Winch device failures due to webbing belts riding-up on the reel is a common fault we see often. This smart feature we have developed stops this issue. Locate the pin handle and either drop the pin to lock it in position or lift and rotate the handle to allow the winch to pivot.
ATOM Winch - 500kg safe working load
ATOM 500 is our extra heavy duty winch, designed for use predominantly in larger wheelchair accessible vehicles, ambulances, patient transport, minibus and taxis. This wheelchair/stretcher loading device has a huge pulling capacity of 500kg.
It can either be equipped with wireless remote controls or with wanderlead attachment, depending on your preference. The quick-release bracket supplied with the kit, makes it super simple to re-fit or remove from the vehicle floor. As with all our electric winches, the device can pivot in line with the wheelchair, preventing any webbing ride-up on the reel.
