The APL team love a new project!

We were asked by a customer if our ATOM500 winch, was able to vertically lift a wheelchair for stowage inside an ambulance. No problem!

We decided to fit a proximity switch, to ensure the winch stopped just at the right point.

For many reasons, there has been a steady rise in popularity of our battery powered winch. Having no need for any hard-wiring, it can be fitted, not just in a vehicle but also at home for assistance up an access ramp or driveway. We think the new shape gives it a sleak, more modernised appearance, while the new chunky handle offers a much sturdier feel. We have also  added a height adjustable foot, so that it can always be adjusted and leveled with the surface it is attached to.
